MEET THE ARTIST

How do I describe ...
my work? I've enjoyed a 4 decades long pro career, my assignment work provided me an interesting life, travel, the opportunity to meet some amazing people and opened doors for me in places I never thought I could access. My personal work is my passion, photographs generated from within, images that call to me as I traverse life.
Back to the question of how to describe my work. The term "fine-art photography" has a certain pretentiousness to it. I once read a definition as "those created in line with the vision of the photographer as artist, as a medium for creative expression. The goal of fine-art photography is to express an idea, message, or an emotion." Speaking for myself that has always been my goal. So, how do I describe it? I can't.
